New Amana Heat Pumps
One Amana system built for Texas climate handles both heating and cooling for your home.
How a Heat Pump Works
A heat pump moves heat instead of generating it. In summer, it pulls heat out of your home the same way a standard air conditioner does. In winter, it reverses direction and pulls heat from the outdoor air into your house.
For most of the Texas climate, that’s more than enough to keep your home comfortable year-round. You get heating and cooling from a single outdoor unit, which means fewer components, less to maintain, and one system doing both jobs.
The Amana Heat Pump Lineup
Amana offers single-stage and two-stage ducted heat pumps to fit different homes and budgets.
- Single-stage models provide straightforward, dependable heating and cooling at a solid efficiency level
- Two-stage models step up to SEER2 ratings as high as 17.2 for better efficiency and quieter operation, with features like ComfortBridge and Copeland UltraTech compressors
- ENERGY STAR certified options are available across the lineup
HSPF2 ratings, which measure heating efficiency specifically, vary by model. We’ll walk you through which system matches your home and your budget when you’re ready to compare options.

Warranty You Can Count On
Amana backs qualifying heat pump models with a 10-year unit replacement limited warranty. That’s one of the reasons Air Central chose to become an Amana dealer. The equipment holds up, and the warranty stands behind it.
A matched system matters here too. Pairing an Amana heat pump with a compatible Amana air handler means both components are designed to work together. You get better efficiency, more consistent comfort, and fewer problems down the road compared to mixing brands or mismatching equipment.
Common Questions
In a climate like North Texas, a heat pump handles both heating and cooling efficiently for most of the year. It’s worth considering if you’re replacing an aging system and want to simplify your setup. For extremely cold stretches, supplemental heating may be needed, but those days are rare here. We can help you figure out whether a heat pump is the right fit during a consultation.
SEER2 measures cooling efficiency and HSPF2 measures heating efficiency. Higher numbers mean lower energy costs for the same amount of comfort. Amana’s two-stage heat pumps reach up to 17.2 SEER2, which puts them in the high-efficiency range. HSPF2 ratings vary by model, and we can walk you through the specifics when you’re comparing options.
Yes. Qualifying models come with a 10-year unit replacement limited warranty. That means if the unit fails within the warranty period, Amana replaces it. Specific warranty terms vary by model, so ask us for details when you’re getting a quote.
